Paul McCartney announces new LP ‘Egypt Station’ (hear “I Don’t Know” and “Come to Me’)

macca-egypt

Paul McCartney will release new album Egypt Station on September 7 via Capitol Records. It’s his first in five years, and pre-orders are available now. “I liked the words ‘Egypt Station,’” said Paul of the title. “It reminded me of the ‘album’ albums we used to make.., Egypt Station starts off at the station on the first song and then each song is like a different station. So it gave us some idea to base all the songs around that. I think of it as a dream location that the music emanates from.” Most of the record was produced by hitmaker Greg Kurstin of The Bird and the Bee, and you can check out the somber “I Don’t Know” and more rockin’ “Come to Me,” which are both being released as a double A-side single, below.
