Matador Records is reissuing Pavement‘s third album, Wowee Zowee, as part of the label’s “Revisionist History” series celebrating all the classic 1995 indie rock albums they released. It’s a straight, no-extras reissue but they are releasing “Sensitive Euro Man” as a picture disc single pressed with the “Pavement?” thought bubble that’s featured on the album cover, with “Brink of the Clouds/Candylad” on the flip. Those songs were bonus cuts on the 2006 CD reissue of Wowee Zowee and this picture disc is available either on its own or as part of a Wowee Zowee preorder bundle and limited to 3000 copies worldwide. It’s out August 21 but you can watch the picture disc spin, virtually, below.

Wowee Zowee‘s actual 25th anniversary is this Saturday, April 11 and you can listen to the album below. Pavement will reunite for Primavera Sound’s 2020 festivals in Barcelona and Porto, both of which have been postponed to late summer. Meanwhile, you can watch a full show of Pavement in 1994.

Stephen Malkmus also released the excellent Traditional Techniques earlier this year and East Coast dates supporting that have been postponed, but June and July dates are still on for now.

Guided by Voices’ Alien Lanes is also getting reissued as part of Matador’s “Revisionist History” series.
