Pedro the Lion announce reunion shows

David Bazan has already been having a very busy 2017, and he just announced his most exciting news of the year. As Stereogum points out, his late ’90s and early ’00s band Pedro the Lion, who broke up in 2006, will reunite! They already announced two Portland and two Seattle shows for this December, and a full US tour will follow. Stay tuned for more.

Earlier this year, Bazan released an album and toured with his new band Lo Tom (which also includes Pedro the Lion members TW Walsh and Trey Many). He also released his new solo album Care and has more upcoming solo dates, including a Brooklyn show with Page France’s Michael Nau on 11/9 (tickets). And last but not least, he covered Protomartyr for “Our First 100 Days.”

Pedro The Lion released four albums during their run as a band, three of which were on Jade Tree (and that label eventually reissued the one that wasn’t), including 2002’s classic Control. Stream that album in full below:
