people want to make an “All My Friends” documentary (documenting their trip to LCD Soundsystem’s final show)

LCD Soundsystem

LCD Soundsystem makes people do wacky things. I know two people who recently flew to Bogota. I know others who are flying into NY to be at Madison Square Garden on April 2nd. That’s not that wacky, but then there’s this other group of people (pictured dude included) who are raising money to document their cross-country trip to get to the same show (and all the new “friends” they meet along the way). Read and watch more about that, below…

To Whom It May Concern;

I am writing you to ask for assistance in spreading the word about this documentary. We need the help of fans in order to tell our story. I believe that your audience would thoroughly enjoy our story. They can visit our Kickstarter site at this address: http://kck.st/fvhdbi

All My Friends” is a documentary about a group of friends traveling across the country to see their favorite band play one last time.

On top of showing the migration of a worldwide audience to Madison Square Garden, our story will be able to capture the conflict that people have with coming to the realization that they miss the friendships life has forced them to pull away from. No matter what age we are, we have all reminisced on times spent with friends. This documentary will show that those relationships and experiences don’t have to be just a thought of nostalgia. It is never too late to re-capture them and of course to create new ones.

We hope to share this message not only with our audience but with people along the journey. We will map out a course to NYC that will take us by complete strangers. These strangers are you, the fans! Please reach out to us with your stories and ideas. We just might stop by and say hello!

We will dance with these people, ask them what music, what passions, what experiences have inspired them. We will make relationships that may only last for an hour but will be remembered for a lifetime.

“All My Friends” is inspired by the song with the same title by LCD Soundsystem. It is a song that we not only move our bodies to, but one that we see as an anthem. An anthem with themes we use to model our life around. To us it is a reminder to hold onto the relationships and experiences you make. No matter where you are in your life, physically or mentally, you can find comfort in knowing you have made friendships, and will continue to make friendships that will fill your time here on Earth with more meaning than any career or material possession will ever be able to.

We are all aspiring filmmakers. As a group we have combined to produce programs for the NFL Network, HD Net and Fox Sports. We have coordinated for well over 50 commercial spots and for Grammy and Award winning music videos featuring Katie Perry, The Black Eyed Peas, Beck and Modest Mouse.

We have camera crew already on board who have worked on both scripted and reality shows for networks such as ESPN, OWN, AET, MTV and CBS.

We truly feel that all the pieces are in place. But we need funding to feed our crew, put a pillow under their heads and gas in the tank.

Unfortunately this is the only opportunity we have to achieve our goal. The final show is less than 60 days away. The time is now, this is happening, and although we could get our story across using a medium other than this concert, we feel that in order to properly convey our passion it needs to be combined with this once in a lifetime moment.

I promise you we are much more than a group of friends looking to drive to a concert. This will be an incredible story, one that is sure to put a smile on your face.

Best Regards,

All Your Friends
