Peter Murphy & David J celebrated 40 Years of Bauhaus @ Terminal 5 (pics, setlist, video)

Peter Murphy & David J brought the “40 Years of Bauhaus Ruby Celebration” tour to NYC for a very goth Valentine’s Day at Terminal 5 where black and blood red were the colors of choice. As they’ve been doing at all stops on the tour, they played Bauhaus’ debut album, In the Flat Field, in full and followed that with a set of other Bauhaus classics, including “She’s in Parties,” “Burning from the Inside” and, of course, “Bela Lugosi’s Dead.” They encored with their cover of fellow 4AD band Dead Can Dance’s “Severance.” Check out the setlist and a few fan-shot videos below and pictures from the whole night, including openers Desert Mountain Tribe and Vinsantos, are in the gallery above.

The “40 Years of Bauhaus Ruby Celebration” tour rolls on, hitting Worcester, MA tonight and wrapping up in San Francisco where Murphy will have a month-long run at The Chapel, including not only Bauhaus nights with David J, but also shows where he’ll perform his solo albums in full, as well as a night of Bowie covers.
