Phil Lesh adds Central Park show; new 'Long Strange Trip' trailer out now

Amir Bar-Lev and Martin Scorsese’s Grateful Dead documentary Long Strange Trip will be screened at various US theaters on May 25, ahead of being released via Amazon Prime Video on June 2. See all participating theaters here. The film has a new trailer out today, which you can watch below. The film’s soundtrack is also due out May 25 via Rhino.

In NYC, it will be at the IFC Center from May 25 – June 1 (tickets), and there’s also a screening on May 25 at the Capitol Theatre in Port Chester (tickets).

Meanwhile, the Grateful Dead’s Phil Lesh has expanded his upcoming tour schedule. In addition to Capitol Theatre shows direct after the Long Strange Trip screening (May 26 and 27), the 50th anniversary of the Monterey Pop Festival, and a ‘Terrapin Station’ set with Bob Weir at Lockn’ Fest, Phil Lesh & the Terrapin Family Band will play Central Park SummerStage on August 30 with special guests. Tickets for Central Park go on sale Wednesday (5/17) at 10 AM.
