Phil Lesh & Terrapin Family Band played Brooklyn Bowl, doing it again in March

The Grateful Dead’s Phil Lesh stays busy. He just brought his West Coast band, the Terrapin Family Band, to NYC for two rare Brooklyn shows over the weekend and he already announced that they’ll return for two more in March. Phil Lesh & the Terrapin Family Band will play Brooklyn Bowl on 3/12 & 3/13. Like at this past weekend’s shows, the March shows will have DJ Jerrbrother’s Jerry Dance Party before, after, and in between Phil’s sets. Jerry Dance Party spin Jerry Garcia and Grateful Dead music (obviously) and they’ve appeared at the Fare Thee Well shows and Lockn’ Fest in the past. Tickets for each show, including an option that comes with a concert ticket and a bowling lane, go on sale Friday (2/17) at 10 AM.

Those shows are just days before Phil Lesh & Friends do a three-night run at the Capitol Theatre in Port Chester. Tickets to see Phil at the Cap on 3/15 and 3/16 are still available. The 3/17 show is sold out.

Scott Metzger, who we recently caught at Brooklyn Bowl (pics) and who plays there again later this month, joined Phil & TFB over the weekend.

In other Grateful Dead/Brooklyn Bowl news, Jerry Garcia’s guitar Wolf will be auctioned off at a Guernsey’s auction at the Brooklyn venue on May 31, with all proceeds going to Southern Poverty Law Center. More info here.
