Phoebe Bridgers announces debut LP for Dead Oceans ft. Conor Oberst

Phoebe Bridgers

After releasing a handful of promising singles, Phoebe Bridgers signed to Dead Oceans and now has announced her debut album for the label. It’s called Stranger In The Alps and it comes out on September 22. It was produced with veteran producer Tony Berg and The Belle Brigade’s Ethan Gruska, and Conor Oberst appears on the song “Would You Rather.” Along with the announcement, she has shared the official studio version of “Motion Sickness” (which previously existed in demo and live forms) and this song is keeping hopes pretty high for the album. Like most of the music we’ve heard from her thus far, it’s a hushed, intimate song that fans of Phoebe’s past tourmate Julien Baker should check out, but there’s an underlying harder rock vibe on this one too. It’s got a lyric video directed by Phoebe’s brother, Jackson, which you can watch below. Tracklist is below too and that’s the artwork above.

Phoebe has upcoming tour dates with Conor Oberst, Cat Power, and Noah Gundersen. All dates are listed below.
