It was a great night of spiritual jazz at Greepoint Terminal on Sunday night (5/8), featuring legends Pharoah Sanders, Sun Ra Arkestra and relative newcomer Kamasi Washington. The warehouse style space (around the corner from the Brooklyn Expo Center) was lit with projections and the stage was set up in the round, with ample room for the audience to move around the sold out event, which was part of the 2016 Red Bull Music Academy. Of the three, Kamasi Washington made best use of the 360 stage set-up, but a very memorable night of great performances all-around. The only disappointment was there were no collaborations.
