With a sad and lonesome sound that fits her strong, smoky voice, Molly Burch has garnered comparisons to everyone from Patsy Cline to Brill Building song-masters to Hope Sandoval. The Austin-based musician was in Brooklyn over the weekend to celebrate the release of her excellent Captured Tracks debut, Please be Mine. Burch kept things short and sweet with her eight-song set, leaving the audience wanting more. It was an all Captured Tracks evening with EZTV and Lina Tullgren also on the bill.
