Pinegrove played their first of two NYC shows this month on Thursday night (4/27) at Bowery Ballroom with Hovvdy and Lomelda. The crowd at the sold out show included a strong showing from Pinegrove’s hometown of Montclair, NJ, who were psyched to hear the town given a shout out in “Visiting.” Thursday night’s show came on the eve of the release of Everything So Far, a compilation of Pinegrove’s pre-Cardinal material. A new album will soon be in the works, too; frontman Evan Stephens Hall said between songs that after this run of shows, the band would reconvene in a rural area to work on it. Pictures from the Bowery show are in the gallery above.

That run of shows includes a second sold out NYC show at Music Hall of Williamsburg tonight (4/30); Half Waif, who shares members with Pinegrove, opens, along with Hovvdy. Pinegrove also appear at some upcoming festivals, including Newport Folk Festival, which they were just added to the lineup for, as well as Shaky Knees, Pickathon, and Pitchfork Festival. They return to NYC in July to play at Panorama.
