David Lynch is hot right now. He’s produced an EP for Chrysta Bell (who just performed in NYC), he threw the two-day ‘Festival of Disruption’ and, most importantly, he’s bringing  Twin Peaks back to televisions in 2017.

One of Lynch’s other creations, the great 2001 film Mulholland Drive (named the #1 Greatest Film of the 21st Century in a poll of 177 film critics done by the BBC), recently marked its 15th anniversary. In celebration of that, Francine the Lucid Dream‘s Lynch-themed troupe The Pink Room Burlesque paid tribute to Mulholland Drive at Parkside Lounge. This retelling of Lynch’s surreal Hollywood noir was hosted by Schaffer the Darklord and included performances from Bunny Buxom, Iris Explosion, Matt Knife, Nasty CanastaFrancine The Lucid Dream herself (in two numbers), Minx Arcana as well as gogo from stage kitten Petite Renard.

The Pink Room Burlesque’s next Lynch show is their 5th annual Miss Twin Peaks Pageant on Saturday, January 21st at Joe’s Pub (tickets).
