Pinknic Festival on Randall's Island cancels Saturday due to heat warning

OZY Fest isn’t the only casualty of NYC’s current mega-heat wave. Music, food, and wine festival Pinknic is in the midst of its first day on on Randalls Island, but its second day, Saturday July 20, has been cancelled. The festival posted an update on Instagram:

We regret to inform you that we have received orders from the Mayor’s Office that all outdoor events and festivals in NYC must be cancelled due to the excessive heat warning, including Pinknic tomorrow (Saturday). We will address your questions and concerns as soon as we can and will provide you with more details and updates as we receive them.

Mark Ronson is today’s Pinknic headliner, and tomorrow was to feature sets from Chromeo, Moon Boots, Youngr, Naations, Sosupersam, and C.M.A.. PNAU, originally scheduled for Saturday as well, recently dropped off the lineup due to illness.
