Pitchfork's 100 Best Songs of 2018

Pitchfork have been gradually rolling out their ‘Year In Music 2018’ coverage (including the year’s best music videos and music books), and now their list of the 100 best songs of 2018 is here. As usual, there’s stuff from all across the board, including big pop, rap, and R&B stuff like Post Malone, Future, Carly Rae Jepsen, Migos, Beyonce / Jay-Z, Ariana Grande, Cardi B, Lady Gaga / Bradley Cooper, Vince Staples, Drake, Travis Scott, Ella Mai, Troye Sivan, and more; as well as rising rappers like Valee, Sheck Wes, Rico Nasty, Tierra Whack, CupcakKe, JPEGMAFIA, and more; rising indie acts like Miya Folick, MorMor, Empath, Westerman, and more; 2018 indie staples like Low, U.S. Girls, Amen Dunes, Yves Tumor, Tirzah, Camp Cope, Beach House, Kurt Vile, serpentwithfeet, Snail Mail, Lucy Dacus, Soccer Mommy, Let’s Eat Grandma, boygenius, and more; some country from Kacey Musgraves and Pistol Annies; the late Mac Miller and Lil Peep; and still much more. The list has new singles from Sharon Van Etten, Jessica Pratt and Lana Del Rey (from upcoming 2019 albums), and the top three is very interesting: flamenco-pop artist Rosalia‘s “Malamente (Cap.1: Augurio)” at #3, alt-pop vet Robyn‘s “Honey” at #2, and coming at #1 this year is The 1975‘s “Love It If We Made It.”
