Pitchfork's Tens & Zeroes
Whatevs did the research and found 30 perfect tens and 9 zeroes at Pitchfork. (via OneLouder)
You might hate Pitchfork, but their ratings have real life effects…
“Josh Rosenfeld, co-owner of Seattle-based Barsuk Records, says one Texas record store initially refused to stock one of his releases, Travis Morrison’s 2004 release Travistan,” because it received a 0.0 review from Pitchfork.”
(maybe that’s why you hate them)
Jen says that Pitchfork also gave Monday night’s Gothamist Movable Hype show featuring Clap Your Hands Say Yeah a 10. I would agree with that rating (and not just because they don’t pay me to work there).
