Pixies began ‘Come On Pilgrim/Surfer Rosa’ NYC run (night 1 pics, setlist)

After doing a UK run of their Come On Pilgrim… It’s Surfer Rosa shows, Pixies began their NYC run at Brooklyn Steel last night (11/18). The shows are supporting the new joint reissue of the band’s debut mini-LP Come On Pilgrim and their first proper album Surfer Rosa (which is out now on 4AD), and like in the UK, Pixies played both albums in full and a selection of songs from their original “Purple Tape” demo that didn’t make it onto Come On Pilgrim, including their cover of “In Heaven (Lady in the Radiator Song)” from David Lynch’s Eraserhead. Then they encored with a couple other classics and one of their newer songs. Check out pictures of night one at Brooklyn Steel in the gallery above and the full setlist below.

The Brooklyn Steel run continues tonight (11/19) and Tuesday (11/20), and you can still get tickets. In 2019, Pixies will tour with Weezer and Basement.
