New 4AD singee Pixx has a new single, “Grip,” which was just released this week. Ethereal, with tinge of the East, the song has ties to 4AD’s gauzy past but sounds shiny and modern at the same time. You can watch the video, directed by James Slater, below.

Pixx is making her U.S. live debut next week as part of the 4AD Revue at NYC’s Irving Plaza on Wednesday, September 28 with labelmates The Lemon Twigs and Methyl Ethel. That show is now FREE. You can RSVP HERE, though that does not guarantee entry. Arrive early to make sure you get in (doors at 7 PM).
