Planet B covered M.I.A.’s “Bad Girls” (listen & watch the video)

Planet B Bad Girls

Planet B, the punk/rap/industrial/everything project from Justin Pearson (The Locust, Retox, Dead Cross, etc) and producer Luke Henshaw, have put their unique twist on M.I.A.‘s modern classic “Bad Girls.” The song is already an in-your-face stomper, but Planet B crank up the in-your-faceness to 11 and turn it into something that sounds more distorted and evil than you’d ever heard “Bad Girls” sound. It’s a genuinely cool cover, and it comes with a video created by “activist, glitch and photomontage artist” Displaced/Replaced that matches the vibe of Planet B’s version perfectly. Check it out below, and the track is also available as a name-your-price download on Bandcamp.

In related news, a Kickstarter was recently launched for an upcoming Justin Pearson documentary.
