Pontiak releasing a new LP, touring, playing NYC with PC Worship & Rhyton
Psychedelic rockers Pontiak will release their new album Dialectic of Ignorance on March 24 via Thrill Jockey. They just released a new single from the album, “Tomorrow Is Forgetting,” which has a thunderous drum beat and wall of thick, reverby atmosphere. It’s a noticeable change from their riffy 2014 album INNOCENCE. Check it out below.
Pontiak will also tour in support of the album, beginning in NYC the day before it comes out. They play Alphaville (3/23), and there are some pretty cool openers: local noise rock staples PC Worship, psych rockers Heavy Birds, and Pontiak’s Thrill Jockey labelmates Rhyton.
