Portrayal of Guilt Suffering

Portrayal of Guilt releasing 'Suffering Is A Gift' EP, share "Scarcity"

Texas screamo band Portrayal of Guilt put out one of the best punk albums of 2018 with their debut LP Let Pain Be Your Guide, and they’re already set to follow it with a new EP this year. It’s called Suffering Is A Gift and it drops August 30 via Closed Casket Activities. The first single is “Scarcity,” and like most of the songs on Pain, it packs countless metal and punk subgenres into its short running time and ends up sounding totally spastic and unhinged without entirely going off the rails. It’s a ripper, and you can hear it below. The EP was recorded and mixed by Philip Odom.

As mentioned, Portrayal of Guilt are touring with Harms Way, Jesus Piece, and Fuming Mouth this year, and that insanely stacked quadruple bill hits Asbury Park’s House of Independents on August 13 (tickets), NYC’s Brooklyn Bazaar on August 17 (tickets), and more. All dates are listed below.
