Primus played Brooklyn Steel on Halloween (pics, setlist, videos)

Primus are on tour now in support of their new album The Desaturating Seven, their first album with the classic lineup of Les Claypool, Larry LaLonde, and Tim Alexander since 1995’s Tales from the Punchbowl. They’ve been opening with a career-spanning selection of songs, and then playing The Desaturating Seven in full, before returning for an encore, and they did just that at their NYC show at Brooklyn Steel on Halloween. They didn’t seem specifically dressed for the occasion (but Primus are always a freaky looking bunch), but many members of the crowd were. Pictures are in the gallery above and the setlist and some videos are below.

Primus’ tour continues and they play a New Year’s Eve show in Oakland. Mastodon/Tool supergroup The Legend of the Seagullmen will make their live debut as an opener on that show.
