Paisley Park, Prince‘s 50,000sq ft estate in Minneapolis where he was found dead a week ago, which includes a recording studio and nightclub, is going to be turned into a museum a la Graceland. From Yahoo News:

The singer’s brother-in-law Maurice Phillips told The Sun: “We will turn Paisley Park into a museum in Prince’s memory.

“It would be for the fans. He was all about the fans – this would remember his music, which is his legacy.

“Prince was always private but would have wanted his music remembered.”

Loyal fans who gathered outside Paisley Park complex, above, for the singer’s memorial service were yesterday given purple boxes packed with memorabilia.

Prince’s sister Tyka Nelson, who is married to Maurice, told fans: “Thank you for loving my brother.”

Longtime Prince collaborator Shelia E also told Entertainment Tonight, “We’re hoping to make Paisley what [Prince wanted] it to be. [He] was working on it being a museum. He’s been gathering memorabilia and stuff from all the tours, like my drums and his motorcycle.”

This may take some time to set in motion, as Prince apparently had had no will. A few more instagrams from outside Paisley Park, below.
