Hearing Roosevelt’s Chuck D and B-Real’s two-pronged assault on Rage’s rhymes while Tom Morello made his guitar wail and squeal like a virtuoso was thrilling enough. B-Real’s style is as nimble as Rage frontman Zach de la Rocha’s original work, while Chuck’s thunderous delivery makes “Guerilla Radio” and “Testify” harder-hitting. – [Newsday]

Rage Against The Machine/Cypress Hill/Public Enemy supergroup Prophets of Rage brought their tour to Brooklyn over the weekend, as they played Barclays Center on August 27 the night after hitting PNC Bank Arts Center. They again covered the Beastie Boys “No Sleep Til Brooklyn,” in addition to busting out hits from RATM, Public Enemy and Cypress Hill.

After covering Bruce Springsteen’s “The Ghost of Tom Joad” the night before, they were joined for this one by Bruce’s saxoponist Jake Clemons as a return of favors after Tom Morello has joined the boss at his show at Metlife Stadium. Public Enemy’s DJ Lord was also a big hit during the set with his flashy spinning and scratching.
