Prurient playing album release show w/ Andy Stott & Sannhet

Prurient

Dominick Fernow’s noise/power electronics/etc project Prurient is releasing a new album, Frozen Niagara Falls, on May 12 via Profound Lore, and he’s now announced a NYC release show for it. It happens on April 18 at The Wick, part of Pitchfork and Blackened Music’s ongoing ‘Tinnitus’ series, and has amazing lineup of electronic musician Andy Stott and instrumental post-metal trio Sannhet. Tickets are on sale now.

Other upcoming ‘Tinnitus’ shows include Untold / Egyptrixx and Holly Herndon.

The day after Prurient‘s new album comes out, he’ll play NYC again, but this time to present material off his 2006 album, Pleasure Ground. That’s part of the big Nothing Changes party happening during Red Bull Music Academy residency on May 13 at Output with Merzbow, Genesis P-Orridge & Aaron Dilloway, Pharmakon, Ron Morelli, Marshstepper and Uniform. Tickets are still available.

Sannhet also have two other NYC shows. They play an album release show on March 27 at Saint Vitus with Kayo Dot and Oneirogen (tickets), and open the second of Viet Cong‘s two Northside shows on June 14 at MHOW (tickets).
