PS Eliot announce reunion tour & archival release, playing Brooklyn with Ought before NAMF

Waxahatchee at Webster Hall in 2015 (more by PSquared)

Earlier this year, Don Giovanni Records announced its Asury Park fest New Alternative Music Festival, and possibly the most exciting news was that pre-Waxahatchee/Swearin’ band PS Eliot would be reuniting again for it. Right before that fest happens, PS Eliot will play another reunion show in Brooklyn on September 15 at Market Hotel. It’s with Montreal post-punks Ought, Brooklyn punks Aye Nako (who are both also playing NAMF), and Adult Mom. Tickets go on sale Friday (6/3) at 10 AM.

UPDATE: The Brooklyn show and NAMF are part of a six-date reunion tour, and PS Eliot will also put out the 50-song archival release 2007-2011 on September 2 via Don Giovanni (pre-order). It’s “a 2xCD anthology that gathers the group’s two LPs, Living in Squalor 7″, and a number of demos and home recordings. All have been digitally remastered. Mail-order copies will also include a limited-edition zine with an oral history of the band assembled by Liz Pelly.” Listen to “We’d Never Agree” from the upcoming compilation, below.

In related news, Waxahatchee is reissuing early material on the upcoming Early Recordings EP, which will be out June 17 via Merge. You can download one of the songs, “Home Game,” for $1 over at The Spark Mag. Proceeds benefit First Time’s the Charm. Waxahatchee also has upcoming dates and those are listed below.
