Public Enemy performing at Bernie Sanders rally in LA
Joining the many musicians performing at Bernie Sanders rallies is Public Enemy, who will perform at Bernie’s rally at the Los Angeles Convention Center on March 1. Though it is billed as Public Enemy on the flyer, according to the RSVP page it’s “Public Enemy Radio,” Chuck D‘s current version of the group with — according to a recent review of one of their sets — DJ Lord (who joined P.E. in the late ’90s) and newer member Jahi (but no Flavor Flav). Sarah Silverman and Dick Van Dyke will appear as well.
Doors open at 3 PM and the event goes from 5-7. More details and RSVP info here.
Chuck D also commented on his Bernie Sanders endorsement:
I believe in reparations and a lotta issues none of these folks see-as you know Rosa. But lemme say this to those reading this..having been to 115 countries this planet is on a spin cycle. Rinsed. These political hogwashes are no longer a USA discussion-it’s a 2020 Earthizen one- https://t.co/lZexMlUkyl
