Speaking of Beach Craft Bonanza, they’re about to release a followup to last year’s Cradle to Wave, which came out on Jeff Rosenstock’s Quote Unquote Records and Really Records. The new album is called Debonair and it comes out this Monday (5/29). The band recorded it themselves on a four-track, and it’s got seven new songs, a re-recording of a song from their debut, and a new version of a song by pre-Beach Craft Bonanza band Let Me Crazy. “The subjects range from pollution and corruption to disillusionment and despair, ” the band tells us. “You know, because 2016 was a shitshow.”. You can hear “Closed Casket,” a raw, aggressive dose of surf punk, below.

Beach Craft Bonanza also have a release show on June 3 at Goldsounds.
