Queens of the Stone Age played MSG, broke up a crowd fight (pics, videos)

Queens of the Stone Age brought their tour behind this year’s Villains to NYC for a massive show at Madison Square Garden last night (10/24). (Did anyone snag any of the free tickets hidden in subway stations?) As they’ve been doing on this tour, they kept things heavy on the new album and its direct predecessor …Like Clockwork, plus all the big hits like “Go with the Flow,” “No One Knows,” “Little Sister,” and “Sick, Sick, Sick.” At this one, they worked on Rated R cut “Monsters in the Parasol” early on in the set, and they reached back to their self-titled debut for “Mexicola.”

As a fan video captured, Josh Homme saw a fight going down in the crowd, and he paused the show to break it up and say: “If you wanna fight, stick your head up your ass and fight for air or get the fuck out.” He later added, “We’re not the soundtrack to you fighting, we’re the soundtrack to you fucking. If you don’t like that, get the fuck out” and “We’re here to dance, drink, and screw, am I right?!” (all of which was met with huge cheers from the crowd). Watch the whole thing below.

Pictures of the show are in the gallery above (including shots of openers Royal Blood). The full setlist and more videos are also below.
