Queens of the Stone Age release trailer for new LP 'Villains' (prod. Mark Ronson)

Queens of the Stone Age already confirmed a new album was coming this year, and now more details are here. It’s called Villains, and it was produced by Mark Ronson (“Uptown Funk”), who appears in the new album trailer which is out now (directed by Liam Lynch). It’s a three and a half minute trailer and it’s pretty funny. It’s also got a short clip of the new song “Feet Don’t Fail Me,” which will appear on the album. Watch above. Release date is still TBA but we know it’ll be out on Matador Records.

Josh Homme told news.com.au earlier this year that a new single will be out by the time they tour Australia in July and that “there are no guests on the QOTSA album, which means no cameo from occasional band member and Homme mate Dave Grohl.”

QOTSA have some US festival appearances coming up too, including Outside Lands (with The Who, Metallica, Gorillaz, and more) and Riot Fest (with Nine Inch Nails, Jawbreaker, Cap’n Jazz, and more).

In related news, QOTSA guitarist Troy Van Leeuwen plays on the new Chelsea Wolfe album, that was announced today.
