R.E.M. share “E-Bow the Letter” (ft. Thom Yorke) from new ‘At the BBC’ box set

rem-bbc

R.E.M. are releasing a box set that gathers all their appearances on the BBC, be it sessions for John Peel or other presenters, recordings from festivals and televised appearances (like Later with Jools Holland). All in all, R.E.M at the BBC encompasses 20 years worth of recordings over eight CDs and a DVD. For those who don’t need that much, there are two-disc The Best of R.E.M. at the BBC compilations being released on CD and vinyl as well. They’re all out October 19 via Craft Recordings.

One of the gems is a 2004 live version of their New Adventures in Hi-Fi single “E-Bow the Letter” that features Radiohead’s Thom Yorke and was recorded St. James’ Church for BBC 2. You can listen to that and check out the full track lists for the box set and two-disc comps, plus a few other tracks from R.E.M. at The BBC, below.

Related: Thom Yorke scored the remake of Suspiria and will be touring later this fall.
