Radioactivity, Greys & Honey played Saint Vitus (pics)

Melodic Texas punks Radioactivity brought their tour to NYC for a BrooklynVegan-presented/curated show at Saint Vitus last night (7/21). The sold-out show really got packed in for Radioactivity’s set, which was short, sweet, and great as ever. These guys basically never disappoint, and last night’s set was no exception. We got rippers like “Battered,” “Where I Come From,” “I Know” and plenty more. Full setlist in the pictures below.
Before them it was Greys, who I’ve seen a handful of times but never with a soundsystem as good as the one Vitus has (or on as large a stage). They were better than ever in this more proper environment, and it was obvious how much time these guys spend on the road. Super tight, super loud, and they look ready to keep graduating to bigger spaces.
Opening the night was the psych/garage punk sounds of locals Honey, which started things off very nicely. These guys have been one of the more solid punk bands on the local circuit for a while now, and when they dive into the trippy jams, they can get truly mesmerizing.
Pictures of all three bands continue below…
