Radiohead began their tour in Amsterdam and Paris (videos/setlists)

Radiohead kicked off their tour in Amsterdam on May 20, since then playing another two shows (one more in Amsterdam and one in Paris), all of which have been opened by the great electronic/art pop artist Holly Herndon. Naturally, setlists and videos have surfaced from the band’s first performances since 2012. They’ve been playing different setlists every night, focusing heavily on their excellent new record A Moon Shaped Pool, opening with the first 5 songs (“Burn the Witch” through “Ful Stop”) at each show, and eventually covering just about all the material on that record. But with two encores and about 25 songs a night, they’re hitting a lot of stuff from their back-catalogue as well.

The big news was that they actually played “Creep” last night in Paris for the first time since 2009. They also broke out “No Surprises” and “My Iron Lung,” which similarly haven’t been played since 2009. They also played “The Daily Mail” at the first Amsterdam show, which has been a live staple since The King of Limbs shows but still hasn’t made it onto an album. They closed either their main set or their encore at each show with the formidable one-two punch of “Idioteque” and “Bodysnatchers.” And of course they’re never afraid of breaking out deep cuts, hitting stuff like “You And Whose Army,” “The Gloaming,” “Talk Show Host,” and “Pyramid Song” at various points. Radiohead’s tour jumps over to the US in July, when they’ll play those previously-discussed Madison Square Garden shows on July 26-27 with Dawn of Midi, which are long-since sold out. Tickets for the whole tour have been extremely hard to come by, and resale prices at most of these venues have been astronomical.

Radiohead are also hitting US festivals Osheaga, Lollapalooza, Outside Lands and ACL Fest, among a bunch of other international dates.
