Radiohead share Paul Thomas Anderson-directed live session for "Present Tense"

Earlier this year, Radiohead released their ninth studio album, A Moon Shaped Pool, to various critical acclaim. Today, the band has shared a stunning performance of one of the album’s best tracks, “Present Tense.” The video, directed by filmmaker Paul Thomas Anderson, shows frontman Thom Yorke and guitarist Jonny Greenwood in an extremely intimate setting, only accompanied by a Roland CR78 drum machine. The performance is incredibly sparse and gentle compared to the studio version. It’s unclear as to whether this is a tease towards their usual “From the Basement” sessions, but only time will tell. As you may recall, this isn’t the band’s only video collaboration with Anderson, as he also directed the band’s video for “Daydreaming” and Jonny Greenwood has scored several PTA films. You can also watch “Daydreaming” below.
