Rancid & Dropkick Murphys announce 'Boston to Berkeley II' tour

Rancid and Dropkick Murphys have announced the ‘Boston to Berkeley II’ tour, the sequel to their similar 2017 tour. This one will also feature Scottish singer/songwriter Gerry Cinnamon (who the Murphys recently covered and who has yet to tour the US) and Dorcester, MA’s Jesse Ahern (who’s on tour with the Murphys in Europe as we speak). Like last time, each show will end with both Rancid and Dropkick Murphys on stage for a joint encore. The bands comment:

Dropkick Murphys’ founder Ken Casey said, “We’re excited to team up with our old friends Rancid again for the second edition of the Boston To Berkeley tour! And we’ll be joined by Glasgow, Scotland superstar Gerry Cinnamon – on his first U.S. tour!”

Rancid’s Lars Frederiksen said, “Looking forward to getting out with the Dropkick Murphys again for the second edition of our Boston To Berkeley tour in May. Gerry Cinnamon from Glasgow will be joining us for his first ever U.S. tour! This is one you won’t wanna miss.”

The tour surrounds both bands’ appearances at the Metallica-headlined Epicenter, Sonic Temple, and Welcome to Rockville festivals, and it hits NYC on May 20 at The Rooftop at Pier 17 and Asbury Park on May 21 at Stone Pony Summer Stage. Those are both with Jesse Ahern and one more TBA (no Gerry Cinnamon). Tickets are on sale now. All dates are listed below.

Dropkick Murphys also have their St. Patrick’s Day Boston Blowout run coming up, including support from Lars Frederiksen and The Sex Pistols’ Glen Matlock on night one, Lars’ band The Old Firm Casuals on nights two to four, and more. Dropkick Murphys are also promising a new album for this fall. Listen to their new single and Gerry Cinnamon cover below.
