rare Black Sabbath stuff up for auction; final tour starts up again at Jones Beach

Black Sabbath
Black Sabbath at MSG in February (more by Ross Halfin)

Black Sabbath fans with money to burn might be interested in a new collection of memorabilia that is up for auction in the UK. The collection, which is only available as a full package deal, includes several handwritten notes that Ozzy wrote to his family (including his parents and his first wife), handwritten lyrics, as well as a rare tour poster from when Black Sabbath was known as “Earth.” The whole lot is being auctioned by Sheffield Auction Gallery and is expected to fetch something in the $2000-$4000 range.

Meanwhile, you can also catch Sabbath on their final tour, which gets back going after a break tonight (8/17) at Nikon at Jones Beach Theater. Tickets for that are still on sale, as they are for their other NYC-area stops on the tour, at PNC Bank Arts Center on August 23 in NJ and at Mohegan Sun Arena on August 27 in CT.

Check out some pictures of the stuff up for auction (via Dangerous Minds) and all remaining tour dates below.
