Beastie Boys, Madonna, Leonard Cohen, The Dave Clark Five, John Mellencamp, Donna Summer, Afrika Bambaataa, The Ventures and Chic are the 2008 Rock n’ Roll Hall of Fame nominees. It seems hip hop is well represented, but there’s no Radiohead, and there’s no metal.

Radiohead has a song in Tom Cruise‘s 2001 movie Vanilla Sky and now the guy trying to extort money from Tom Cruise has been found dead. Supposedly from suicide.

Perhaps Jenna Bush‘s new book Ana’s Story will reveal if it was her or her sister that was at that Radiohead show last year. People are wondering.

Mark Ronson‘s new album Version contains a Radiohead cover, and one of Britney Spears who luckily lost custody of her children, except maybe it isn’t lucky because she lost that custody to Kevin Federline.

According to Wikipedia, Kid A‘s “production style” is “similar to Phil Spector‘s wall of sound technique”, and now Phil Spector is free on murder charges due to a mistrial.

Radiohead & The Pipettes are both from the UK, and are both loved by Pitchfork. Thom Yorke scored a stunning victory against The Pipettes in 2006 when he walked away with the prize for “best vinyl artwork”. To make matters worse, now the Pipettes have had to postpone their tour.

Speaking of female artists from the UK, Radiohead coverer KT Tunstall doesn’t think Thom Yorke should abandon his career or shut up, but Noel Gallagher of Oasis thinks he should. Oasis has been posting new videos on YouTube to promote their new DVD called “Lord Don’t Slow Me Down” – out November 6th on Universal. KT Tunstall‘s new album Drastic Fantastic is out now on Virgin – some people like it, and some people don’t, but it is a known fact that almost everyone likes Radiohead.
