Reverend Horton Heat's Holiday Hayride tour hit Irving Plaza (pics, setlist)
Amped up rockabilly great the Reverend Horton Heat is currently on his Horton’s Holiday Hayride tour with Big Sandy and His Fly-Rite Boys, The Blasters and Junior Brown — a pretty appealing quadruple bill. The Rev is peppering his set with covers of “Run Rudolph Run,” “Santa Claus is Coming to Town” and other yuletide classics in addition to his own songs like “Psychobilly Freakout.” The tour hit NYC on Friday (12/15). This one was a little bit different than other dates on the tour, with Big Sandy performing with Reverend Horton Heat and his band, and Junior Brown was not on the bill.
