Richmond punks Sea of Storms touring, playing NYC, Fest and other dates (listen to two songs)

One of the many punk bands playing The Fest this year is Richmond’s Sea of Storms. They’re also playing their hometown stop of the Planes Mistaken for Stars tour, and going on their own tour before that.

Their tour hits NYC on June 2 at Bushwick Public House (1288 Myrtle Ave) with more bands TBA. All dates are listed below.

The band’s new album, Dead Weight, comes out June 9 via Self Aware / Tor Johnson, and you can listen to two songs from that. There’s “Cedar Run” and brand new single “Got Your Number” (premiering in this post), both of which are melodic punk songs that fans of Hot Water Music, Dillinger Four, The Get Up Kids, and other late ’90s bands may dig.
