Rise Against debuted 'Wolves' songs in Chicago (pics, setlist, videos)

Rise Against are releasing their new album Wolves on June 9 via Virgin Records, and they’re previewing it with small-ish shows in Chicago, Brooklyn and LA. The first was a free show at Chicago’s House of Vans on Friday (4/21), where they debuted the title track, lead single “The Violence,” and “Welcome to the Breakdown.” They also covered Creedence Clearwater Revival’s “Fortunate Son.” Videos of that cover and “Wolves” below. Pictures of the show — including shots of openers Direct Hit! — are in the gallery above.

Rise Against’s Brooklyn show is another free House of Vans show, happening tonight (4/24). Opening is Dead Heavens, the psych band led by post-hardcore legend Walter Schreifels, who’s in Vanishing Life with Rise Against’s Zach Blair. RSVP for tonight’s show is closed.

Later this year, Rise Against will tour with Deftones and Thrice, including a show at Jones Beach on June 13 (tickets).
