Riz Ahmed Long Goodbye

Riz Ahmed announces new album due next week, playing NYC & UK shows

Actor/rapper Riz Ahmed (who starred in The Night Of, Venom and Rogue One and is one half of Swet Shop Boys with Heems) has announced a new album, The Long Goodbye, due March 6 via his own Mongrel label. It was produced by Swet Shot Boys collaborator Redinho and its one guest is fellow UK artist Jay Sean. Riz says, “It’s a breakup record about being dumped by the country you call home. In this climate of ’immigrants out!’ it’s about that feeling of being kicked out of a house that you built.”

The album will be accompanied by an Aneil Karia-directed short film of the same name, and it features his 2018 single “Mogambo.” Watch the video for that song and check out the tracklist below.

Riz is also presenting the The Long Goodbye live show in two cities: a sold-out three-night run at Manchester International Festival and a BAM-presented two-night run at a secret Brooklyn location on April 3 & 4 (tickets).
