Robert Plant mixed Zeppelin faves & new songs at Beacon Theatre (pics, setlist)

Robert Plant is currently touring behind his 2017 LP Carry Fire, an excellent addition to his prolific discography, and an indicator that he continues to remain musically creative this late into his career. Plant and his backing band The Sensational Space Shifters stopped by NYC’s Beacon Theatre last night (2/14), where they played several tracks from the new album, including the marching “New World…,” which kicked off their set. They also included many classic Led Zeppelin favorites, including “Misty Mountain Hop,” “Gallows Pole,” and “Babe I’m Gonna Leave You.” Plant closed his set with a version of the Zeppelin staple “Whole Lotta Love” that also included parts of the traditional “Santy Anno.” Pictures from the show are in the gallery above. Videos and the setlist, below.

Carry Fire was included in our list of 2017’s best albums by indie and underground legends.
