Robyn was in NYC on Monday for a career-spanning conversation with Kindness’ Adam Bainbridge at the Museum of Modern Art, as part of the Red Bull Music Festival. She talked about her in-the-works new album (“it’s almost there”) which she says has “much more production work on my end” but will still feature some collaborators. She played demo versions of “Be Mine,” “Dancing on My Own,” and “Honey” (which was partially featured in GIRLS‘ final season but hasn’t been released), talked about how Michael Jackson and house music are an influence on the new record, and that she hopes to tour soon. You can watch video of the whole conversation below.
Also Monday night was the monthly “This Party Is Killing You: A Night Of All Robyn Everything!” at Brooklyn Bowl and Robyn showed up. She DJ’d and played the full (new?) version of “Honey,” and sang “Love Is Free” with Maluca. There was also a dance-off and the winner got to dance on stage with Robyn. Watch fan-shot video of that below.
