Royce da 5’9″ & DJ Premier released an album as PRhyme ft. Killer Mike, Schoolboy Q, Common & others, announce tour

by Andrew Sacher

Royce da 5’9″, who maybe you recently heard with a bunch of other Detroit rappers on Eminem’s “Detroit vs Everybody,” teamed up with legendary producer DJ Premier for a collaborative project called PRhyme and the duo released their self-titled album this week. Royce and Premo are on their A games, and impressive guests including Killer Mike, Schoolboy Q, Common, Jay Electronica and Ab Soul join them for this tightly packed 9-track album. The production is terrifically dark, and Royce’s rhymes are aggressive from start to finish. Whine rap this is not. Listen to the whole album over at NPR and check out two videos from it below.

PRhyme is supporting the album on a tour in 2015 that hits NYC on February 22 at Highline Ballroom. Tickets for that show go on sale at noon today (12/10).
