Ryan Adams will release new album Prisoner on February 17. You can listen to three tracks from the album — including the ’80s-arena-rocking “Do You Still Love Me?” (veering him into Bryan Adams territory) — below. Pre-orders are up now, including a deluxe “End of the World” edition that includes the entire record on 7″ singles with 17 b-sides, and a live stage diorama with working lights and sound and cardboard cutout versions of Ryan and the band.

Ryan will celebrate Prisoner’s release with a show at NYC’s historic Apollo Theatre on February 16. Tickets for that show go on sale Thursday, February 2 at 11 AM with various presales happening Wednesday (2/1) beginning at 10 AM. He’s then on tour in March, with festival dates lined up for the summer. All dates are listed below.

Speaking of “End of the World,” Ryan Adams was on BB2 on Saturday with Jo Wiley and he performed a cover of Radiohead’s “Karma Police” which he prefaced with this:

I woke up this morning and I was jetlagged, and I had a full day of press. But I wanted to do a couple of covers. And I know plenty, but I wanted to do something new that I hadn’t done before. So I went, what are two or three songs I could try to learn before I have to go to my first thing. And this was one. I don’t know if I’ve learned it in a great new and interesting way, but I also thought it’s fitting, because there’s a pretty awful person who just got elected in the United States. So I don’t know why, but that song popped into my head this morning.

You can listen to that at the BBC, it starts around the2:23:10 mark.

In still other Ryan Adams news, he’s making a double album with Liz Phair at his PAX AM studio with Don Was producing. Ryan tweeted the songs go “back to those sounds & that rawness I first heard on Exile” and called Phair “an American treasure.” Check out some in-studio video below.

Ryan was also on NPR’s A Prairie Home Companion on January 21 where he played a version of I Love You But I Don’t Know What To Say” from 2011’s Ashes & Fire with Kacey Musgraves joining him (as well as host Chris Thile on Mandolin). Watch video of that below as well.
