Ryan Adams didn’t release a record in 2018 but he’s making up for it by releasing three albums in 2019. (That’s his intention at least.) While there hasn’t been an official announcement, Ryan has been leaking info about it — via political reporters Anthony Manson, Katy Tur, and Jake Sherman of all places — saying Big Colors (produced by Adams, Beatriz Artola and Don Was) will be first out of the gate in April via Pax-Am/Blue Note/Capitol, with a second, titled Wednesdays, that features guest appearances by Emmylou Harris, Jason Isbell, and Heartbreakers guitarist Benmont Tench as well as very Nebraska-y cover art and will be out at some point later in the year. You can check out album art and tracklists for both Big Colours and Wednesday below.

No word on the third album, but Stereogum notes Philadelphia’s alt-rock station WXPN just premiered “Doylestown Girl” which is off of Big Colors. (Doylestown, PA is about 27 miles north of Philly.) It’s on the mellow acoustic side, and you can listen to a radio rip (they follow it with The Smiths’ “What Difference Does it Make?”) below.
