Ryan Adams' UK tour cancelled following abuse allegations

In the wake of the sexual misconduct and abuse allegations against Ryan Adams, his upcoming UK/Ireland tour has been cancelled. Ticketmaster Ireland tweeted: “The Ryan Adams UK & Ireland tour has been cancelled. Full refunds to ticket purchasers from authorised outlets will be processed by end of day on Monday. Please allow time for the repayment transaction to hit your account.” The cancellation follows news that fans were demanding their money back ahead of the tour.

Adams was initially accused of abuse and sexual misconduct in a New York Times feature by several women, including his ex-wife Mandy Moore, Phoebe Bridgers, and a musician who went by “Ava” to remain anonymous, who was underage during the time Adams was interacting with her. The FBI is opening an inquiry into Adams’ communications with her.

Later on, Karen Elson, Liz Phair, and Ryan’s former guitarist and tour manager came forward with statements about him. Adams referred to the allegations as “upsettingly inaccurate.” His upcoming album is also “on hold” following the allegations.
