Saba Bucket List

Saba streaming 'Bucket List,' playing Rough Trade (like Kemba and Trapo)

Chicago’s Saba is one of the many Chicago artists connected to Chance the Rapper who’s picking up buzz lately. He’s on Chance’s Coloring Book, Joey Purp’s iiiDrops, and he’s got a single with Mick Jenkins too. Saba’s latest project, Bucket List Project, recently dropped and features other Chicago staples like Noname (who recently headlined Baby’s) and Smino (who recently toured with Mick Jenkins), plus hometown veteran Twista. Listen to the whole project:

Saba will come to NYC to perform music from the album on Tuesday, November 8 at Rough Trade with special guests MoRuf, MoRuf, Well$, Jadon, and MFn Melo. Tickets are on sale.

That show’s presented by Move Forward Music (the same people Just Blaze is teaming with for his new party), who have two other Rough Trade shows scheduled at the moment. One is Kemba (who opened that Noname show at Baby’s) on November 22 with Homeboy Sandman (tickets), and the other is Trapo (who opened for Kamaiyah at Baby’s in June, which, like that Noname show, was a Pigeons & Planes-presented ‘No Ceilings’ party) on December 5 (tickets).

That Trapo show is in support of his upcoming Shade Trees project, and his only other dates in support of it are in Chicago and Wisconsin (where he’s from).

It’s not a Move Forward Music show, but also at Rough Trade in December is neo-soul singer Jamila Woods, who rolls with that same Chicago crew.
