Sainthood Reps announce new LP, 'Headswell' (stream a track)

Sainthood Reps

Long Island post-hardcore band Sainthood Reps have announced that they’ll release a new album, Headswell, the follow-up to their 2011 debut, on October 22 via their new label home, No Sleep Records (Braid, La Dispute). The opening track/first single, “Shelter,” opens up like it’s going to be a long lost Nirvana single, but then once the vocals come in, it transitions into total hardcore punk attack. Other elements of alt-rock and and a bit of shoegaze/post-rock fill the track out too, making for an anthemic and diverse recall of the ’90s. Check it out below, and if you like what you hear, you can pre-order the record. That’s the album art above.

As discussed, Sainthood Reps are also touring this year, and they’ll play NYC on October 24 at Knitting Factory with I Am the Avalanche, I Hate Our Freedom, and Sad and French. Tickets for that show are still available.
