Sainthood Reps return with first song in 6 years, “Burning Sheep” (listen)

Sainthood Reps

Long Island post-hardcore staples Sainthood Reps returned to the stage last year with a few shows like Brooklyn with Pianos Become the Teeth and Long Island’s Wild Fest, and now they’re finally back with their first new music in six years. We’re premiering “Burning Sheep,” the band’s first new single since 2013’s Headswell, and it’s the kind of welcome return that makes it feel like the band never left. As you’d expect from these guys, “Burning Sheep” puts ’90s alt-rock, shoegaze, and post-hardcore in a blender and comes out with something that’s an equal mix of atmosphere, melody, and aggression. It’s good stuff, and you can stream it below or download it at Bandcamp (proceeds from downloads go to ACLU).
