The Golden Globe Awards were given out tonight in Hollywood with The Revenant and The Martian being the big winners. On the music side, Sam Smith and Jimmy Napes won for “Writing’s on the Wall,” the theme from James Bond flick Spectre. Ennio Morricone won for his score to The Hateful Eight, and the film’s director, Quentin Tarantino, accepted on his behalf, saying Morricone was his favorite composer ever.

On the TV side, Lady Gaga won for Best Actress in a Miniseries for her TV debut in American Horror Story and gave one of the night’s more emotional speeches. Elsewhere in TV: Aziz Ansari didnt win Best Actor in a Comedy Series for Master of None, but he did have one of the night’s funniest moments when the camera cut to him and he was reading a book titled Losing to Jeffrey Tambor with Dignity. In one of the night’s upsets, Gael García Bernal actually ended up winning for Mozart in the Jungle, but still a great gag. Mozart won Best Comedy Series as well, and Mr Robot won for Best Drama.
